Crypto Profit Calculator
Calculate crypto profit, loss and ROI from buy price, sell price, quantity and both-side fee percentages, with break-even and target price planning.
BTC moved up 37.78% between your buy and sell price, which after fees leaves a profit of $8,232.50 — an ROI of 36.41% on the $22,612.50 you actually put in.
Fee breakdown
| Buy fee | $112.50 |
| Sell fee | $155.00 |
| Total fees paid | $267.50 |
| Break-even price (covers both fees) | $45,452.2613 |
Profit = quantity × sell price × (1 − sell fee) − (quantity × buy price × (1 + buy fee)). No prices are quoted or fetched — every figure is typed by you and nothing leaves your browser. Crypto disposals are usually taxable; check your local rules. Arithmetic for your own records, not investment or tax advice.

About the Crypto Profit Calculator
The ByteTools Crypto Profit Calculator works out what a trade actually made once fees are taken out. Enter the quantity, the price you bought at, the price you sold at, and the exchange fee percentage on each side; the tool computes the true cost, the net proceeds, the profit or loss in currency terms and the return on investment as a percentage.
Fees matter more in crypto than almost anywhere else, so they are modelled on both the buy and the sell rather than being lumped into a single number. The break-even price shows exactly how far the asset has to move just to cover those fees, and a target mode works backwards from a profit percentage you want to the sell price that would deliver it.
Every price is typed in by you — this tool never quotes a market, never fetches a ticker and makes no network requests at all, which is why it works offline. Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored. Crypto is volatile and gains are usually taxable, so treat the output as arithmetic for your own records, not investment or tax advice.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate crypto profit?
Multiply the quantity by the sell price and subtract the sell fee to get net proceeds, then subtract the total cost, which is quantity times buy price plus the buy fee. The difference is your profit; divide it by the total cost to get ROI as a percentage.
How do exchange fees change my break-even price?
They push it above your buy price, because you pay once going in and again coming out. With a 0.5% fee on each side, the price has to rise roughly 1% before you are square, and higher-fee platforms move that bar further.
What is a good ROI on a crypto trade?
There is no benchmark, and anyone quoting one should be treated with suspicion. What this tool gives you is the honest arithmetic on the trade you actually made, after the fees that are easy to forget about.
Does this calculator show live coin prices?
No, and that is deliberate. Every price is one you type in, so the tool needs no network access and works offline. Copy the current price from your exchange if you want to check an open position.
Do I owe tax on crypto profit?
In most jurisdictions a disposal is a taxable event, but rates and rules vary widely and change often, so this tool does not attempt to guess. Take the gain figure here into a capital gains calculator with your own rate, and check with a local accountant.
