About the Hashtag Generator
Hashtag Generator converts plain phrases and keyword lists into ready-to-paste hashtags. Type one phrase per line and it produces CamelCase phrase tags (#SocialMediaTips), lowercase joined tags (#socialmediatips), individual word tags and two-word combinations — deduplicated and stripped of characters hashtags cannot contain.
It is a deterministic formatting tool for creators, social media managers and small businesses: it transforms the keywords you give it rather than pulling trend or volume data from anywhere. Cap the output at Instagram's 30-hashtag limit or set your own cap for other platforms, then copy the whole block in one click.
Everything is generated 100% locally in your browser — your keyword lists are never uploaded, stored or shared.
Frequently asked questions
How many hashtags can I use on Instagram?
Instagram allows up to 30 hashtags per feed post as of 2026, whether they are in the caption or the first comment. This generator caps output at 30 by default so a paste never silently exceeds the limit.
Should hashtags be CamelCase or lowercase?
Platforms treat #SocialMediaTips and #socialmediatips as the same tag, but CamelCase is easier to read and screen readers pronounce each word correctly, which makes it the accessible choice. The generator can produce both so you can pick a style.
Does this tool show hashtag popularity or search volume?
No. It is a deterministic formatter: it builds hashtags only from the words you type and does not fetch trend, volume or ranking data. Use your platform's own search to judge how active a tag is.
What characters are allowed in a hashtag?
Letters, numbers and underscores. Spaces or punctuation end the tag, and a tag cannot be only numbers. The generator strips disallowed characters automatically so every tag it outputs is valid.
Is my keyword list uploaded anywhere?
No. All generation happens in your browser with JavaScript — nothing you type leaves your device, and the tool keeps working offline.
