CPC Calculator
Work out cost per click, total spend or clicks from any two of the three, plus CTR, CPM, conversions, cost per conversion and ROAS in one view.
Campaign inputs
Return
- Estimated revenue
- $1,000.00
- ROAS (revenue ÷ spend)
- 2.00×
- Gross profit vs spend
- $500.00
Revenue uses your average order value only — it ignores cost of goods, so treat it as topline, not margin.
The formulas used
- CPC = spend ÷ clicks
- CTR = clicks ÷ impressions × 100
- CPM = spend ÷ impressions × 1,000
- conversions = clicks × conversion rate
- CPA = spend ÷ conversions
- ROAS = revenue ÷ spend
Any metric whose denominator is zero or blank shows — rather than a misleading number.
What is the CPC Calculator?
A CPC calculator that solves cost per click as spend ÷ clicks — or rearranges to give you spend or clicks — and derives CTR, CPM, conversions, cost per conversion and ROAS from the same inputs.
- Solves for CPC, total spend or clicks from the other two
- CTR, CPM, conversions and cost per conversion in the same view
- Revenue, ROAS and gross profit from an average order value
- Explicit divide-by-zero guards — a blank denominator shows a dash
- Seven currencies, with every formula listed on the page
- 100% in-browser: no campaign data is uploaded anywhere
How to use the CPC Calculator
- 1
Choose your currency and pick whether to solve for cost per click, total spend or clicks.
- 2
Fill in the two known values — the third is calculated and shown as the headline figure.
- 3
Add impressions to unlock click-through rate and CPM.
- 4
Add a conversion rate, and an average order value if you have one, to see conversions, cost per conversion, revenue and ROAS.
About the CPC Calculator
Cost per click is spend divided by clicks, but the number you actually need is often one of the other two: how much budget buys 5,000 clicks, or how many clicks $500 buys at a $1.80 CPC. Pick what you want to solve for and this calculator rearranges the formula and shows the answer as a single headline figure.
Around that sit the metrics you need in the same breath. Add impressions and you get click-through rate and CPM. Add a conversion rate and you get conversions and cost per conversion. Add an average order value and you get estimated revenue, ROAS and gross profit against spend.
Every ratio is guarded: zero clicks, zero impressions or zero conversions produce a dash and a short explanation, never a NaN or an infinite CPC. All arithmetic runs in your browser, so campaign figures never leave your device.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate cost per click?
Divide total ad spend by the number of clicks. A $500 campaign that produced 250 clicks has a CPC of $2.00. If you know your CPC and budget instead, divide spend by CPC to get the clicks you can expect.
What is the difference between CPC and CPM?
CPC is what you pay per click; CPM is what you pay per 1,000 impressions, calculated as spend ÷ impressions × 1,000. A campaign can have a great CPM and a terrible CPC if the creative is being shown widely but nobody clicks it.
How is CTR calculated?
Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions, times 100. So 250 clicks from 20,000 impressions is a 1.25% CTR. CTR and CPC move together, because platforms tend to reward relevance with cheaper clicks.
What is cost per conversion?
Total spend divided by the number of conversions, often called CPA. This tool derives conversions from your clicks and conversion rate, so $500 with 250 clicks at a 5% conversion rate gives 12.5 conversions and a $40 cost per conversion.
What counts as a good ROAS?
ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend, so 4× means four dollars back for every dollar spent. What counts as good depends entirely on your margin — a retailer on a 25% gross margin needs a much higher ROAS than a software business.
