What is the Facebook learning phase?
It is the period where delivery is still calibrating and performance is unstable. An ad set generally needs around 50 optimisation events within a rolling week to exit it, and one that never reaches that number stays permanently unstable with a worse CPA.
What is the minimum daily budget to exit the learning phase?
Enough to generate the required events inside the window, which is events × CPA ÷ window days. At a $25 CPA and 50 events per 7 days that is about $179 a day. The tool computes it from your own numbers and flags when your plan falls short.
Why does my ad set keep re-entering learning?
Significant edits reset it — budget changes, creative swaps, audience or optimisation-event changes. Combined with a budget too small to generate enough events, that produces an ad set stuck in permanent learning. Consolidating ad sets is usually a better fix than raising bids.
Are these numbers specific to Facebook?
