How do I add share buttons without a plugin?

Use each network's public intent URL as an ordinary link. There is no script to load and nothing to embed, so the buttons cost nothing in performance and cannot track your visitors. Copy the HTML block this tool generates into your template.

Why does Facebook ignore my share title and description?

Facebook's sharer takes only the URL and builds its preview from your page's Open Graph tags. To change what people see you have to edit og:title, og:description and og:image on the page itself — the share link cannot override them.

How do I add hashtags to a share link for X?

The intent URL accepts a hashtags parameter holding comma-separated words with no hash symbols. Type them here however you like and the tool strips the hashes and joins them correctly, alongside the text, url and via parameters.

Do social share links work on mobile?

Yes. Tapping one opens the platform's app when it is installed and falls back to the mobile web composer when it is not. The WhatsApp and Telegram links in particular are designed for exactly that hand-off.

Will these share URLs keep working?

They are the documented public intent endpoints, but platforms rename and retire them from time to time — the move from twitter.com to x.com is a recent example. Re-test your buttons after any major platform change.
