About the Sticker Outline Maker

This tool builds that border properly by measuring the distance from every pixel to the nearest opaque pixel of your PNG, then filling everything within the radius you choose — so the outline stays smooth around corners instead of going blocky.

Set the width and colour of the main outline, add a second offset outline underneath it for the classic two-tone sticker look, and tune the alpha cut-off that decides which pixels count as part of the subject. How do I add a white outline to a sticker?

Upload a PNG whose background is already transparent, then set the outline width to roughly 10 to 20 px and leave the colour on white. The tool traces the border around every opaque pixel and expands the canvas so the outline is never cropped.

Does my image need a transparent background?

Yes. The outline follows the alpha channel, so a photo with an opaque rectangular background will simply get a border around the rectangle. Cut the subject out first and save it as a transparent PNG or WebP, then bring it here.

What does the alpha cut-off slider do?

It sets the alpha value at which a pixel is treated as part of the sticker rather than background. Raising it excludes faint semi-transparent fringes left behind by background removal, which gives a cleaner outline; lowering it keeps softer edges inside the border.

Why does the outline look smooth instead of pixelated?

The tool computes the exact distance from each pixel to the nearest opaque one and fills everything inside the radius, with antialiasing at the rim. That is a true circular dilation, so corners stay rounded rather than turning into stair steps.

Are sticker images uploaded to a server?
