Frequently asked questions

How do I set the start and end times?

Enter the times in seconds — for example, start 5 and end 20 keeps the audio from 0:05 to 0:20. The end must be later than the start; if it is not, a sensible clip length is used automatically.

Can I create a ringtone with this?

Yes. Trim the section you want (many ringtones are around 20–30 seconds), download the MP3, and use it wherever your device accepts custom tones. For iPhone you may need to convert the result to M4A afterwards.

Does trimming re-encode the audio?

Yes. The selected section is re-encoded to a high-quality MP3, which ensures the clip starts and ends cleanly and plays reliably on any device.
