Loop Video
Repeat a video a set number of times or loop it until it reaches a target length. Shows the resulting duration before you run it, with no upload and no watermark.
What is the Loop Video?
The ByteTools Loop Video tool repeats a clip back to back into one continuous file. Tell it how many times to play, or give it a target length and let it work out how many repeats it needs and trim the last one so the result lands exactly on time.
- Repeat by count or loop up to an exact target duration
- Predicted result length shown before you run anything
- Lossless stream copy where possible, with an automatic re-encode fallback
- Handles clips with or without a soundtrack
- Built-in preview player before you download
- 100% local processing — your video is never uploaded

About the Loop Video
The ByteTools Loop Video tool repeats a clip back to back into one continuous file. Tell it how many times to play, or give it a target length and let it work out how many repeats it needs and trim the last one so the result lands exactly on time.
It is the quick fix for a background loop on a website, a seamless animation for a display screen, a ten-second clip that needs to fill a one-minute slot, or a short reaction video you want stretched out. The clip length, the number of copies used and the final duration are all shown before you commit.
Everything happens 100% locally in your browser using a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg. Nothing is uploaded, so private footage stays on your device. Where the container allows it the loop is made by copying the existing streams, which is instant and completely lossless; when copying is refused the tool re-encodes automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a video loop over and over in one file?
Drop the clip in, choose Repeat a set number of times, enter how many plays you want and click Loop video. The tool joins that many copies end to end into a single MP4 that plays straight through without a visible join.
Can I loop a short video to fill an exact length?
Yes. Switch the mode to Loop until it reaches a target length and enter the number of seconds. The tool repeats the clip as many times as needed and trims the final repeat so the finished file matches the length you asked for.
Does looping a video lose quality?
Usually not at all. Where the source container allows it, the existing video and audio streams are copied rather than re-encoded, so the result is bit-for-bit identical to the original. Only when copying fails does the tool re-encode with H.264.
Why does my looped video need re-encoding?
Some containers and codec combinations refuse a straight stream copy, usually WebM sources or files with unusual timestamps. The tool detects that, re-runs with an H.264 encode automatically, and the only cost is time — long clips take a while on your own device.
Is there a limit to how many times I can loop a clip?
The tool allows up to 200 plays, but the practical limit is the size of the finished file, which grows with every repeat. A 20 MB clip looped fifty times is a 1 GB download, so keep an eye on the source size.
