About the Event Schema Generator

The Event Schema Generator creates Event JSON-LD structured data for concerts, webinars, workshops, conferences and any other scheduled happening. Enter the name, dates, location, ticket offer and performer, and a valid script block is generated live for you to copy.

Event markup makes your listing eligible for Google's event experiences in Search and Maps — the enhanced cards showing date, venue and ticket price directly in results. Offers are modelled with price, currency and availability, and dates use ISO 8601 automatically.

The tool runs fully in your browser, includes only the fields you fill in, and uploads nothing. It is designed for venues, promoters, course creators and developers who want their events to surface as rich results.

Frequently asked questions

What does Event schema do in Google Search?

Event schema makes your event eligible for Google's event rich results and the events experience in Search and Maps, which display the date, venue and ticket details prominently. This visibility can significantly increase clicks compared with a plain blue-link result.

How should event dates be formatted?

Use ISO 8601 format for startDate and endDate, ideally including the time and a timezone offset, for example 2026-07-06T19:00:00-04:00. This generator produces ISO 8601 dates from the values you enter so Google reads them unambiguously.

Can I mark up an online or virtual event?

Yes. For online events set the location as a VirtualLocation with the URL where people attend, and set eventAttendanceMode accordingly. Google supports online, offline and hybrid events, and marking the attendance mode helps it label your listing correctly.

Is the offers price required for event markup?

Offers are recommended but not strictly required. Including price, priceCurrency, availability and a ticket URL makes your event eligible for richer treatment and lets Google show pricing. For free events you can set the price to 0.

How do I mark a cancelled or postponed event?

Set the eventStatus property to the matching schema.org value such as EventCancelled, EventPostponed or EventRescheduled, and keep the listing live rather than deleting it. Google uses eventStatus to update the displayed event, which is important for user trust.
