About the Bloom's Taxonomy Question Generator
Type a topic and this tool writes a question set that climbs the whole revised Bloom taxonomy: recall questions at the bottom, then explanation, application, analysis, evaluation and finally creation. Each level comes with its own verb list, so you can see at a glance whether a question really sits where you think it does.
There is no language model behind it. The questions come from a fixed bank of 108 stems — eighteen for each level — written by hand for classroom use, with your topic substituted into each one. A numeric seed drives the shuffle, so the same topic and seed reproduce the same worksheet exactly, which matters when you have already printed thirty copies.
Two outputs are available: a compact question list for your planning notes, and a spaced version with ruled answer lines for students. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing about your class or your topics is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
What are the six levels of Bloom's taxonomy?
The revised taxonomy from Anderson and Krathwohl (2001) runs remember, understand, apply, analyse, evaluate and create. The original 1956 version used nouns and put synthesis above evaluation; the revised version uses verbs and swaps the top two levels.
Does this use AI to write the questions?
No. Every question comes from a fixed bank of stems written in advance, with your topic substituted in. That is why it works offline, why it is instant, and why the same seed always produces the same worksheet.
How many questions should I ask at each level?
A common pattern is more questions lower down and fewer higher up — for example four remember and understand questions for every one create question — because higher-level tasks take much longer to answer. Set the per-level count and untick levels you are not assessing.
Why does my worksheet change when I press New shuffle?
The seed number drives the shuffle. Change the seed and you get a different selection from the same bank; put the old seed back and the original worksheet returns exactly.
Can I use these questions in an exam?
Yes — they are ordinary question stems and there is no licence to worry about. Read them through first, because a generic stem occasionally needs a word changed to fit your topic naturally.
